EMILY + ASHLEY
“We can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done for us! Thank you so much for being the photographer of our dreams. I won’t deny that I’ve had a little cry over the beautiful thing’s you’ve sent us! Can we do it all again please?”
Emily and Ashley had a full on DIY, country affair of a wedding and it was stunning! Both from farming families the location had full on farm vibes from the barns to the hay bail wall!
After a little scare on the morning of the wedding due to Gale force winds and the Yurt Owners saying it was too windy for guests to be in the Yurts the weather changed and the sun came out!!
Emily got ready at her and Ashley’s house surrounded by her family, friends and her Ginger Cat Ron!
Emily looked stunning in her Catherine Deane blush dress which was beautifully complimented by her colourful, embroidered veil by Natalya James Bridal. Her hair was beautifully styled in a relaxed half up style with loose curls and her dried flower floral crown by Folky Dokey finished the look off perfectly.
Emily and Ashley chose to get married in their local village church where her parents and grandparents had got married. Unfortunately over the years the church had deteriorated to a state of disrepair and was no longer in use. This didn’t stop Emily and Ashley and Emily’s Dad got permission to plaster, paint and replace the flooring so his daughter could hold her ceremony there. What a Dad hey?!
Following the ceremony guests were treated to homemade canapés made by Emily’s Mum and friends and ‘help yourself’ ice cold drinks from an old farm yard feeding trough!
From the church it was a short walk down the lane to the Funky Monkey Yurts which was beautifully set up on local farmland. The Yurts were set up beautifully with the tables decorated with Lyles Golden Syrup Tins, Gin bottles you name it filled with colourful summer flowers by The Rutland Flower Company! Emily and Ashley chose Wildflower seeds to give to their guests as favours which tied in beautifully with the wildflower florals.
A feast was cooked up for the guests by The Wild Oven who served up some mouth watering tapas style food on sharing platters which went down a treat.
